As one of the country’s largest forces, we’ve dramatically reduced crime levels - ensuring that the public feel safer and that criminals are caught.
Strategically, we are extremely important. Our patch covers Stansted Airport, and two of the UK’s major ports at Harwich and Tilbury.
We’re made up of 5 territorial divisions – South West, South East, Central, Eastern and Western – as well as Stansted Airport. There is also our Mobile Support Division with firearms, dog handling, air and marine support units; so as you would expect there are plenty of opportunities to specialise.
Our officers face a real mix of policing challenges, from busy towns to rural villages. Which means we can offer everything you’d find in a big city – but a lot more as well.
